Juanita's Story
Life
Hello, I'm Juanita Hughes (Cook) Wise and I live in Lexington, N.C.
I've lived in Lexington for twenty years and I consider this town my second home. I'm origionally from Avery County ( Roaring Creek section ) and I'm the oldest daughter of Calvin and Deckie Hopson Hughes. I have two brothers and three sisters. Joe Marcus, Chubby William, Rebecca Wise, Carron Lee Putman and Sharron Kaye Hughes.
Since my school days I've married, had five children, eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. My (childrens names are);James Robert Jr., Melody Selena, Meloney Sabrina, Jeremy Shawn and Layla Bianca.
My (grandchildrens names are); Eric Nathaniel, Zachery Tyler, Amanda Kaine, Holly Shaye, Juanita Leanne, Keisha Renee, James Robert 3rd, Calvin Richard, Tyler Nathaniel, Myra Dawn, and Christy Alexis.
(My great grandchildrens names are); Kingston Michael, Grayson Franklin, Breyanna Jayden, Ethan Hunter, Kaedan Nathaniel, Ethan Tyler, Meloney Jazmine, Stephanie Ann Marie ans Gabriella Faith.
I love living where I do now. Living now is totally wonderful.
My time is never wasted. At my age I have to use up every minute of every day.
Everyone that reads this should cherish every moment of every day and be still and listen. Life is wonderful and life is very, very short. Enjoy your parents, your children, your grangchildren, etc.
Living by good neighbors is a real blessing also. My best neighbor is from West Virginia. The sun comes up and the sun goes down but a real and true friend and neighbor is always there.
Well; since I last attended school some forty years ago I can count on one hand, the classmates I've run across. I know we have all scattered to the four corners ...Expand for more
of the globe but it would be nice to hear from someone I went to school with. My brother and I were in the same class but he doesn't count.
School
My family moved around when I was little and in school so new faces were not unusual. I went to school in Virginia, New Jersey, Ohio and North Carolina. The most time I spent in an elementary school was at Minneapolis Elementary School. I was in the second, fourth, sixth, seventh and eighth grades in Minneapolis. I spent the first grade of school in Ohio, the third grade of school in Virginia and part of the tenth grade in Jew Jersey. My most memorable years were at Cranberry High School. I went to college at Mayland Community College in Mitchell County, N.C.
I always wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were wrong..
I enjoy playing on the computer yo relax my mind fron the days events.
Our almighty Lord; Jesus Christ.
Enjoy them when they're growing up. After they get grown; they belong to the government. Liscenses, taxes, employment, etc.
If I won $100 million, I'd give 5 million of it to charities, then spend the rest on me, my family and churches..
My current age is 61. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be older than dirt. I was so completely clueless..
My best friend would tell you I'm a very good advisor, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as authoritative..
I share my home with two dogs and three cats, which I find very theraputic..
In 10 years, I hope to be alive. I'm going to get there by trusting in God our Father..
My first kiss. It was with the preachers son when I was 13 years old.
