Judi's Story
Life
Upon graduating from MHS I went to Eastern Michigan University. I graduated and married in 1962. My husband was in the military so we lived in many places until he retired in 1982. We were living in Anchorage, Alaska, so we stayed there. The places we lived, AK,GA,VA,MA,AZ,MD gave me a great chance to see other parts of the US. I have 2 sons, born in 1968 and 1971. They are the joys of my life. I taught school from 1962-1967. I received a Master's degree and a divorce in 1990. From 1981 - 1996 I taught Adult Education,managed educational programs, and was a guidance counselor and a career services director for a college. After my divorce in 90 I returned to Michigan. lots of time with my 2 grandsons here in Seattle. On June 18,2002, my 3rd grandson was born in Minneapolis, MN. I'll now be traveling regularly between WA and MN. My time in Seattle is spent volunteering at the Museum of History & Industry plus working with the Pacific NW Historians. To update: My 4th grandson was born in Minneapolis on Aug 31, 2004. Still taking turns at MOHAI plus busy writing articles for various sources. Maintaining contact with schoolmates has proved to be quite a rewarding experience.
Update: I moved back to Monroe in May 2005. Needed to return to my roots. I've explored new and old places, written a few articles for the Monroe Evening News and kept in contact with the Class of 58 Email Group. We are all looking forward to the 50th reunion,.
