Judith's Story
Life:
After leaving LHS, and attending college at CU, I met and married an Air Force man. I ended up getting my 2nd degree at Liberty University in Virginia. We moved to North Carolina, and then on to Texas, where we reside today.
We have three kids, two of whom graduated (bio-chem)in May 2008, and both played tennis for their university (Lipscomb University). Our daughter also played tennis for her university (Texas Tech), and graduated in December 2008. All three of them will soon be going back to grad school in August 2009.
I am a kindergarten special education teacher at a local elementary school, and I truly love my job. I work with a great group of students all of whom have special needs on different levels. I can honestly say that ...Expand for more
I benefit far greater from my students than they could ever benefit from my teachings. I truly have been blessed to be working in a field that I truly enjoy. I have been teaching 18 years and I do not have any plans of leaving this field.
My husband retired from the Air Force, in 2000, and is employed by American Airlines, as well as one of the proud new owners of a jointly owned sandwich shop.
We recently opened up a Philadelphia cheese-steak sandwich shop here in Texas. Owning his own restaurant has always been a dream of my husbands. We have one other owner that went in with us, and the business is going very well.
We love it here in Texas; however, we have hopes of moving some day "back home" to Colorado where we still have family.
