Judith's Story
Life
I moved from Belleville in 1974 to Tucson, Arizona. After two years in Tucson I returned to Springfield, Missouri where I earned my B.S. in Psychology at SMSU. From SMSU I moved to Columbia for 18 months to earn my M.A. in Counseling Psychology. I have been working at Forest Counseling Center since 1992. I enjoy working with families and individuals. I married William "Jim" Lutz in 2000 and we have a ranch with cattle and six horses. In 2005 my first granddaughter, Kaitlyn, was born in May. I look on the classmates list but cannot find Linda, Nancy or Candy?
I recognize some of my old classmates names and am interested in hearing about what they are doing.
My daughter Kimberly is married and lives in the St. Louis area. Her husband John is a teacher and Kimberly is currently working on her second Master's in counseling (professional and guidance). She works for Edgewood and is a supervisor for foster placement services.
My son Kevin...Expand for more
works with a heavy equipment union out of Springfield. He has one step-daughter, Rachel and one daughter, Kaitlyn.
I raised two step-children in my home for ten years. Amy is an attorney in Springfield and her brother Pete is a physician in Springfield.
I have worked as a L.P.C. since 1994 and have seen hundreds of children in my practice. Currently our office is in transition and will change directions at the first of the year. At that time I will update my profile.
Workplace
Forest Counseling hired me in 1992 as a intensive intervention specialist. I worked with families in order to keep their children safe while remaining with their natural parents. After two years I began working in the office as a therapist with children and families. In 1998 I was asked to supervise the intensive in-home contract as I continued to see private consumers. In the late nineties I also have been a trainer for the State of Missouri, Social Services.
