Judith's Story

2010 Update.... So far in 2010 - four poems accepted for publication, won third prize in Spirit First Poetry Contest, have had one art show and actually SOLD some art, am working on an anthology from a November 2009 Poetic Medicine workshop with John Fox. Have presented four workshops/retreats and will be teaching at the International Women's Wirting Guild conference at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island from July 30 to August 6. IAND, in May, Alan & I celerated 30 years of being married with a trip to AAmelia Island, Florida. LIFE IS GOOD!!! Retired from school social worker job, 6/09. e arts groups at an addiction day treatment center, also doing ex. art, creativitiy & healing workshops at retreat centers, schools, prisons, community agencies wherever & whenever I can. Still living in rural upstate NY with my husband, 1 dog and 1 cat, our son is at SUNY Albany in his 3rd year (but not quite a junior--apparently he's on the 5 year plan, this being his 3rd school in 3 yrs--Temple U., U. Hawaii and now Albany.... Writing poetry (and getting some published), and making collages. Working with 3 other women to present a SoulCollage Retreat in late April at a retreat center - Silver Bay on Lake George. Life is good.
