Judith's Story
Can’t believe it’s 52 years since I was in high school. After I graduated, I attended U of T st Mikes College and got an Honours BA in English. I then went to Osgoode Hall Law School at York. I initially worked for a private law firm ..first woman lawyer they hired..sign of the times. I left that firm in 1984 to create the Advocacy Centre for the Elderly , an independent community legal clinic where we developed a new area of practice Elder Law. I am not representing individual clients but am now acting as a consultant and speaker so the website will also advertise the services I’m willing to offer. It’s been a terrific career working in social Justice. In my job, I also travelled all over Canada to do presentations and participate in consultations. It was a pleasure to do this work although sometimes very frustrating when things didn’t go as we hoped. But that’s why I need to get back into this advocacy work because it is my passion.
