Judy's Story
Robert and I have been married 57 years. After high school I spent several years raising a family and then when my kids were a little older starting working. The list would be too long and probably too boring so I'll fast forward to retirement from Kern Co. Superintendent of Schools after about 14 years.
We have two children and two grandsons. We moved to Tennessee nine years ago to be near our daughter's family and soon after she was transferred to Texas. So we finally decided to follow them one mor...Expand for more
e time and moved here about three months ago.
I never dreamed I would be living in the South, but thanks to my kids I have had the opportunity to visit so much of this country. Our son and daughter both lived in the New York/New Jersey area for a while, so we were able to visit New York City, Washington D.C, and basically all of the states between New York and Tennessee.
I am a cancer survivor of almost 17 years after being diagnosed with kidney cancer in May of 2003. Everyday is a precious gift.
