My family moved a lot when I was a kid - I went to four different high schools and ended up getting a GED anyway! I've tried a few things - stay at home Mom for a while, then played at college, worked as an editorial assistant for seven years, then went to work for the state of Texas - I am currently employed as the superintendent's secretary at the Crockett State School, a facility of the Texas Youth Commission (an agency which has been smeared in the media for months, but that really has a lot of dedicated people employed). My husband Johnny is an instructor there. Remembering Elementary school - In sixth grade I was crazy about a guy named Gary, got beat up by Eileen Mullen, and was jealous of Rosanne Lipinarsky's clothes. I remember my first crush, a guy named John Budenhagen (sp?). Paula (somebody) talked me into giving him an ugly note and we weren't crushes anymore. I always regretted that. If I had a do-over for elementary school, it would be to not give him that note! Mary Beth Webb from North Tonawanda is someone I fondly remember - she and her mother were always kind to me. I loved to go to her house, remember it clearly - clean, neat, welcoming. Judy Geib was my best friend in Williamsville North, she was killed by a drunk driver a few years after high school.
