Judy's Story
Life
From the time I left CHS in 1964 I've lived in Hawaii (Oahu), Washington, D.C., (Virginia), and Northern California. I attended business college in Honolulu, and worked as a medical secretary for 20 years, I worked for a world wide technology company and thoroughly enjoyed my job until outsourcing to Malaysia. Now I work for an Engineering firm in Windsor, California and am again very happy. I enjoy snowboarding (or attempting to) and skiing with my kids every Thanksgiving break at South Shore Lake Tahoe, but my biggest passion is my jetski (Lola)! I bought a 3 seater SeaDoo Wave Runner last spring and spend every minute I can checking out new lakes to whiz around on! I have two incredibly wonderful children. My son, Josh is 28, a grahic artist, and lives in Chicago with his fiance. My daughter, Katie is 20, she graduated from high school a year and a half early and is working full time and attending the JC to become a paramedic. I was married for 30 years of my adult life and am now having the time of my life as a single...Expand for more

Workplace
After business college in Honolulu I moved to Washington, D.C. and began work at the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery as a medical secretary. I worked there from 1968 - 1974. In 1974 my husband and I moved to California where I went to work at a Naval outpatient clinic at Mare Island as the secretary to the officer in charge of the clinic as well as monitoring the emergency room and dispatching ambulances. I left the clinic in 1986 to have my second child and was a stay-at-home Mom for 5 years. I went back to work when my daughter was in kindergarten as an office manager for a pet food distribution company in the area. After being separated from my husband in 1999 I went to work for Agilent Technologies as an Administrative Assistant to the head of the worldwide Materials organization. Since leaving Agilent in 2005 I found another job I absolutely love at Summit Engineering. We do all phases of engineering work for wineries in Northern California. I love my job! Love my life! :-)
