Judy's Story
Life
I currently work as a special education teaching assistant in the Bethpage School District, and I love my job. I live in Plainview. I have 3 wonderful children: a 25 year old daughter who is a Physical Therapist, a 22 year old son who is a web20 specialist (whatever that is), and 19 year old daughter who is an angel on earth. I'm married amost 29 years to a great guy who puts up with me and is still my friend after all these years! Then, there's Rocky, my nutty Cairn Terrier who thinks he is my son. One of these days I'll post some pics when I figure out how to do it. That's the great thing about having kids. I'll ask them for help.

I recently achieved my Teaching Assistant Certification after many years of trying to get back to school while raising my family. I'm actually proud of myself!
Workplace
Recently I had to leave my position as teaching assistant to care for my youngest child, Sara, who became seriously ill with an unknown neuromuscular condition. It's the most important job I could possibly have, and one that rewards me everyday.
Sara is definitely my hero. She inspires me with her strength, courage, personality and spirit.
I met my two closest friends when I was 17. Beth attended BHS also, and Diane was her friend. We have been such close friends for all these years and still manage to act like we are 17 when we are together. It's awesome!
