Judy's Story
Life
To bring everyone up to speed, I have 4 sons. Rick is 33 (he joined the Marine Corps right out of high school and spent 3 years in) and has a daughter named Kendall that is now 10 years old. Yes that makes me a grandmother. Michael is 31. He has a daughter Mandy who is 6, a son Jace that is almost 2 and a new daughter, Carley Sue McGee Payne born March 20, 2008. Chuck is 27 has a son named Tyler that will be 8 in June and another son, Ethan that will be 3 in June. And then there is Brandon, my surprise blessing. Brandon is 12 years old. I ran a state regestered daycare for seven years so that I could be with my child. I am currently working as the ISS teacher at a local middle school. I have also finally married a wonderful man, Roger Day in July of 2004 (also a former Marine who served in Viet Nam). My children have been the center of my life, and have now begun to bless me with grandchildren. I have been married 5 times. Guess it took me that many times to finally get it right. I also have a degree in Electronic Engineering which I received when I found out I was pregnant with my 4th son. I couldn't stand the thought of not being with him those first years like I was with my older sons and that's when I opened my daycare. I would love to hear from any of my old friends from W&L.
School
Let's see........who was my biggest crush?? Anyone that really knew me knows it was Armando Valdes. But I fell in love with Henry Rivero. We had two beautiful sons no matter what he says. If anyone has looked at the pictures I have posted, I think it is obvious who their father is. The worst part is Henry has two sons and four grandchildren that he will never see. That is his loss and not theirs. Rick a...Expand for more
nd Michael were adopted by my second husband when the courts declared them legally abandoned by their father when they were 4 & 5 so their last name is not Rivero but Payne. I wish Henry only good things even though he has hurt my sons very deeply by denying them but we all must reap what we sow, good or bad.
The one thing I would change?
My life has been both wonderful and awful at the same time but isn't that true for most people? To change anything would be to change who I have become because of the choices I made through out my life. I have managed to find blessings in even the worst times of my life and those blessings have helped shape me so why would I want to change anything. I couldn't ask for my life to be better now. I have a loving husband, 4 sons and 1 step-son that all bring joy into my life and 6 grandchildren that I get to spoil rotten and send home to my sons. LOL!!!!!!!
There were so many funny, happy times at W&L that I couldn't begin to limit it to just a couple.
Teacher???
There were many great teachers like Mr. Wyatt that stuck in my mind , but the one that I guess has stuck with me the most (and she wasn't a teacher) was good old Mrs. Matthews. She tried so hard to catch me at anything she could and only managed to get me once and that was for leaving campus to go to lunch even though I had a lunch pass. The fine print said I was supposed to walk home and not ride to McDonalds. She would get a kick out of the fact that I am now the ISS (in school suspension) teacher at the middle school I work at. I bet she would feel that I finally got what I deserved LOL!!!!!!! W&L and so many of the people I went to school with will always hold wonderful memories for me.
