Judy's Story
Life
Since graduating from Del Mar in 1977 I took five years to complete my undergraduate studies at West Valley College and San Jose State Universtiy.
In December of 1982 I began my career with the California Legislature at the State Capitol in Sacramento and have enjoyed 27 years in a very exciting and challenging career. I plan to retire from my legislative career in 2013.
I have been fortunate to see much of the world and have travelled extensively through Europe, the Middle East, Asia, South East Asia and East Africa.
My husband, Jim, and I met at our tennis club in Citrus Heights and have been together for 16 years. We enjoy tennis, step aerobics, water sports and collecting toys. Looney Tunes and Disney are high on our list. Our Cocker Spaniel, Arnie keeps us thoroughly entertained too!
2004 and 2008 were very sad years for the Riddle family. Some of you may remember my brother,Larry Riddle. He died of liver cancer on 9/8/04. Larry had...Expand for more
a very full and interesting life in 51 years. He spent time in Taiwan and China teaching foreign languages in the late 70's where he become fluent in Mandarin and Taiwanese. He spoke seven languages in total. Larry and I travelled the world together in the 1980's. He will continue seeing the world, but he'll no longer needs a passport. 350 people came to honor Larry's life at St Francis of Assisi Parish in Sacramento after his passing. Last April 26, 2008, we lost my father to pancreatic cancer. Like my brother, he had an wonderful life. My mother and he visited over 52 countries during their marriege For anyone who has recently experienced a family loss, my thoughts and prayers are with you. But remember your loved one is enjoying eternal life.
I hope to see many of you at our next reunion. The 20th reunion in 1997 was special, particularly since it was where we had our Senior Ball. Let's choose the Coconut Grove in Santa Cruz again!
