Judi's Story
Life
My Spouse:Tim is a great husband, dad, and my best friend. We met while I was still in High School, he was in J.C. I was in the play,"Our Miss Brooks" with one of his friends (who had been hitting on me) the friend told my future husband how hot I was and to come to play practice and check me out!!! The rest is history. My Kids :They are all (5) wonderful human beings. No one is a rocket scientist BUT they are all good people, creative, intelligent, hard-working and wonderful parents to our 10 grandchildren and we love them all very much. We Now have 2 great-grandchildren! Zoey,a darling and smart and talented 6 year-old little girl, and a beautiful new baby girl, Emerson. They both live in Idaho with their respective families. I attended the 45th reunion of the class of '58 of the Midwest City High School. I would have graduated from there had my parents not moved to Ca. in '55. I have kept in very close touch with my dear friend, Barbara Keith Johnson over all these years and we have managed to vist each other a few times (our kids have even met. So when time for the reunion approached she sent me all the info and I brought my 2 sisters with me and we had as our GRACIOUS hosts, Betty & Ray White. It was a wonderful time revisiting our old neighborhood, were saddened by the demolition of the whole downtown of MWC. Hopefully when we go back this year for my sister, Shirley's 50th it'll be all rebuilt. See ya' there!Wasn't able to attend my sister's 50th-but looking forward to going back someday soon. My 50th will be in 2008 and I hope to attend BOTH VHS and MWC. That'll be very neat. It's been a treat to be on the VHS reunion site and reading the updates on those folks-you ALL should join it. I don't even know most of the members on it, except from the site, but it is really good to look forward to someday meetin...Expand for more
g them. They are wonderful family-oriented folks and interesting and talented as well.Enjoyed a wonderful July 4, 2007 by celebrating Independence Day AND the 70th birthday of my sister, Shirley. With all her health problems these past couple of years- it was a wonderful blessing to celebrate with her and have her back to her healthy self.
In Sept.(2007),celebrated DH (Tim) 70th b/d. It was so much fun with all our kids, some of our grandkids, extended family, including Tim's dear 94 year-old mother, 3 sisters, their spouses and kids. If that wasn't delightful enough, several old and dear friends from Vallejo school days were there. Chuck Bish (our best man) and his wife, Lena, how wonderful to see them again, Margaret Dutton (VHS drama teacher)attended with daughter Beth Brenneman, we were dear friends, Suzy Schmutz, she was Pinocchio to my Gepetto in the play,(in VHS) and Jim Mantell who was Tim's cohort in a singing group in J.C. We were all very close "back in the day" and have not really seen each other during these past many years. Sad, but true, if you don't make a conscious effort, your friendships and associations dwindle and fade away. We should nurture and cultivate those relationships throughout as they really contribute to the richness of our lives. Can't help getting philosophical once-in-a while! While it is now 2008, the year for our 50th class reunion(s), don't know for sure yet, if I'll be able to attend either of them! My DH (Tim) is just wrapping up his radiation treatments for prostate cancer and we'll have to wait and see how he's feeling by the deadline for RSVP(ing). He is doing pretty well and we have faith that he will be ok. But don't know how quickly he'll bounce back. He's always been healthy and full of vigor and optimism so I have no doubt he'll be back to his old self sooner than later.
