Judy's Story
I live in DeKalb, IL.,(about 60 miles west of Chicago), moved here after high school graduation. I have been married to the same person for 42 years. We have 2 daughters, 3 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, and 1 great grand-daughter. They all live within 5 miles, which is wonderful for me.
I have lived in the same house for 34 years, worked at the same job for 36 years (funny story here, I started out volunteering, then started working part time until my kids were in school..... when my first grandchild was born, my supervisor said "I guess this means you are not going full time" and she was right!!! I still enjoy my job, secret...Expand for more
ary in an outpatient mental health clinic. I've been there longer than anyone else...big surprise, huh?
I get to Milan a couple of times a year, less now that my parents are gone. My brother Don is still there and several high school friends, so I always look forward to my trips. And as I tell friends here, the road evidently only goes one direction,that would be SOUTH !!!
I love the out doors, anything to do with water, also walking and bike riding, with or without a motor! For many years we went to Ky Lake with friends and family from here, my yankee friends enjoy the south. Of course most of them have Southern roots.
