Julia's Story
Moved to awesome but cold Minneapolis after a year at the U of I, to attend the College of Art & Design...have been here ever since. Since then have worked as a cook, chiropractic office manager, massage therapist, marketing assistant, graphic designer and exec admin(now). For me, work is about the people more than the work itself, and I'm on a great team right now.
Current interests are singing wherever/whenever possible, taking old time fiddle lessons and playing in bluegrass/old time jams, making beaded jewelry, gardening,and an obsession with HGTV. LOVE interior design,seeing live music o...Expand for more
r comedy, and long road trips to new places.
Biggest surprise(s)? First, becoming a mom (21 years ago - ack!), which has been amazing. My son continues to teach me about unconditional love. Next big suprise: synchronistically re-connecting with an old flame after 15 years apart, then building a wonderful partnership and marriage for 9 years now.
Hoping old friends remember me as a fun, sensitive listener. And hoping that they have forgiven any Mean Teen moments. If I could see any teacher again, I'd love to see Sally Riewerts from Sudlow choir, and Mr. Fredricksen, Central French teacher.
