Julia's Story
Life
After high school, I went to U of A for German Studies and Political Science. On March 2, 2002 I married Michael Cali (yes, also a Toro). Now we are living in Phoenix with our beautiful son, Peter and our German Shepherd, Strider. I can't believe how big Peter is getting already! Michael is in accounting and finance and I am a stay at home Mom - on leave of absence from my job as a special education teacher.
Workplace
While I was working on my teaching ceritificate and Master's Degree, I really enjoyed working at Sunrise. I stayed there for two and a half years and really grew to love "my" kids. I was the Inclusion Program Coordinator for Special Needs children at the Scottsdale Sunrise. That e...Expand for more
xperience really helped me realize that I love working with Special Needs populations and I decided to switch over to Special Education. That's where I am now: I am a 5th grade Resource teacher at a school in central Phoenix. I work with kids in a pull-out program for reading, writing and math. It's a lot of fun and I still think special education is the calling for me!!
**Update**
Well, it's been a long time since I've been on this site. I'm still staying home, but now I am expecting my third boy in Sept 09. Peter is doing great - he'll be 4 in November and we have another son now named Nicholas, who will be 2 in December. Michael is a Financial Analyst and I do some tutoring and teaching from home.
