Juliana's Story
Life
After graduation I spent a year as an exchange student in Sweden, and loved every second of it. I have since been back twice to visit. I briefly attended UWF in Pensacola (2 years) and while there I met a sailor; I know shocking meeting a sailor in Pensacola. I eventually got my AA from SFCC, but since I was not certain what I wanted to be when I grew up I haven't continued towards a degree. In December 1989 I married that sailor, Scott Minium, and we moved to Hawaii.
My husband is still in the Navy (we love Navy life) and we have spent the bulk of our time in Hawaii (10+ yrs total). In 2000, I returned to live a bit closer to home, Fernandina Beach. Scott was stationed at the Kings Bay Submarine Base just over the state line in Georgia.

ber 2002 we started the trek cross-country on our way back to Hawaii. Scott was stationed on shore in Hawaii(so he is not "in harms way"). We left Hawaii in September, 2005.
We were heading to San Diego, but two days before closing on a house in San Diego the Navy decided to send us to Guam instead. Yes Guam a small island in the middle of the Pacific. It is where America's Day begins. We like it here. Scott is the Commanding Officer of a Submarine, USS City of Corpus Christi. The change of command was June 30, 2006. We will be here until January 09.
I am happy to report that I have figured out what I want to be now that I'm all grown up (relatively speaking). I am a writer I hope to an author; can't claim that until I'm published. Wish me luck.
