Julie's Story
Life
My husband and I got married in 1986 and we live near Nashville, TN. We have two girls, 20 and 16. I am working as the office manager of the Boiler Room Theatre, a local live theatre where our youngest daughter performs in plays and musicals.

School
Only close friends knew that my senior year in high school I lived by myself in my parents' house. I took care of paying the mortgage and all the other bills, maintenance on the car, house and pool and I was only 17 years old. I could even write my own notes for school. It was a great year!

en went to airline training school for three months. I got hired by Continental Airlines and moved to Houston. I worked for them for 11 years, traveling all over the world. It was great. Then I worked for a travel agency in Houston for about 6 months and moved to Tennessee. After two years here I got a job working for a non-profit organization that offers therapeutic horseback riding to children with disabilities. (Our oldest daughter had a stroke before she was born and has a left side weakness.) I worked there six years and then moved to another non-profit that supports adults with disabilities. I stayed there three years and decided to stay home with our girls for the summer and ended up getting a job at our oldest daughter's school.
