Julie's Story
Life
Life...little older, little smarter, but still a small town girl who has remained in the area. I have two children, one of each and now a son-in-law. My daughter is an Earth Science teacher at Watertown High School. My son is in 8th grade attending the SJ middle school, with dreams of going to Clarkson University to become an Engineer. I live in Adams Center. I bought an old farm house on 1.5 acres of land. The house was built in 1830, so I've been doing a lot of renovations. My first major project was gutting and remodeling my daughter's room, which took me 10 months to do. It was a good learning room, so I know now what not to do. g for the kids, cleaning the house and taking care of 2 cats (sully and baby) and two dogs (meeko and millie). My life is REALLY exciting.
Workplace
I am employed at the Bohlen Technical Center, formerly known as Jeff Tech. I have been employed with Jefferson-Lewis BOCES since 1987. I spent 13 years in the business office performing a variety of jobs before moving to the Tech Center were I am the Financial Aid Officer for our LPN program. I also collect and maintain the databases for our GED/ESL students as well as our secondary and post-secondary students. I never thought I would end up in education but this is the best job I've ever had. I love what I do and the people. They are the best group of people anyone could ever work with.
