Julie's Story
Life
After studying Theater at OCU (OK City) and SWTS (San Marcos, TX), Julie moved to Dallas, TX, where she worked for Tracy-Locke Advertising. She married and moved to Connecticut, continuing her career in marketing and advertising for DMB&B in New York. After moving to Chicago, she left mktg/advertising and focused on modeling and theater. She was contracted in Orlando, Florida, as an equity performer at Walt Disney World, performing on stage as Cinderella, Belle, Ariel, Mary Poppins, Cruella DeVil and the Snow Queen. (Check your pictures if you've visited WDW in the past 5 years - it just might be her). She currently resides in Frisco, Texas (outside of Dallas) and is a member of the Visual Arts Guild of Frisco, where she exhibits her photography and graphic art. Julie was just awarded the title of Mrs. North Texas and will be participating in the Mrs. Texas United States Pageant at the end of April of 2006.
School
So, after high school, I went to Oklahoma City University where I rushed/pledged Gamma Phi Beta sorority. I held the office of "Social Chairman" for 1 year. I studied Music Theatre. Moved back to Texas where I continued my education at Southwest Texas State - was also a GPhiB there where I held "Social Chairman" and "Membership Chairman" offices. I studied Music Theatre with the idea of becoming a teacher. I never graduated - which I regret, but have been doing fine without that piece of paper.

Workplace
So after my stint with college, I took a financial job with an advertising firm in Dallas, Tx. I met my husband there and we moved to Connecticutt where I continued my career in the finance field (imagine that - I HATE math). I used to commute to NYC every day, where I worked at DMB&B advertising overseeing financial analysts on the Proctor & Gamble account. After a couple of years of not seeing daylight, I decided to make a career change and got a job actually in the state that I lived, but, yep - another advertising agency. There I worked as an Account Executive on the Kraft account, coming up with promotional ideas for in-store merchandising, as well as creative packaging and strategic planning. It was a love/hate relationship. We moved to Chicago, where I transferred within my company and stayed there for 1 more year (3 years was all that I could handle). Then, I took time off for about a year. In that time I focused on modeling (small world - I did a photoshoot for Kraft) and doing some community theater. Now, we live in Orlando, Florida. My husband and I both work for Disney: he's Manager of Prospect Marketing for Disney Vacation Club and I'm an equity performer on stage at the Magic Kingdom. I have the lead role in a stage show right in front of the castle. All I do is play all day! I work 3 days and am off the remaining 4. It's heaven! I hope to be here for a while.
