Life
Lets see if I can narrow this down.
After graduation, a day less than 2 months to be exact, I left for the Navy. Following my first enlistment I thought it best if I go to college. I attended WIU from 92-95, when I realized how much I was trying to kill myself (doing too much, in too little time). OK...full class load, working full time as a shift manager at Pizza Hut, sorority (Sig Kap's), Bureau of Cultural Affairs, and Vice Pres of the Student Recreation Society. eft for Florida, where I subsequently ended up getting divorced. I finished my BA through WIU's "Board of Trustees" long distance program in 2000. I returned to Hawaii shortly thereafter for 3 more years before taking orders home (yes, Galesburg) to by the local Navy recruiter. Within a year, amid the dropping numbers needed in the Navy, and the fact that Galesburg is the smallest station in the district, the Command offered me a leadership position at the Chicago MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) that I just couldn't turn down. I now live in Algonquin (North of Elgin) with my now almost 8 year old and my 12 year old cat.
