juliet's Story

was moved from el cajon, ca. in the middle of 5th grade and plopped into a city of 10,000. what a culture shock! my father was an engineering geologist and my mother a nurse, i went to sage elementary and met bonnie conrad, randy holtz, rod tippit, barbara fraasch. transfered to juniper middle school, and had the very good fortune to meet Marianne lucas, Mike Reese, and Teresa bowman. i was shy and very much afraid to get in front of class and do math, my worst subject. I also made very good friend's with mary reyonds and spent alot of time at her house. since lost contact with her. marianne and i entered palmdale high with great trepidation. all i wished were those 4 years to pass quickly, a very lucky move to sumac ave., where every other house held a fellow classmate. my dad put a pool in our backyard, and every other summer either my first cousin, laura, would spend a month in palmdale and the next i would go to poway with her, a suburb outside of san diego. learned to ride well in poway , and spent hours in quartz hill riding horses for hours with marianne, i graduated a semester early and went to AVJC where I met Gary montrose and fell in love.we were together even after i moved to san diego to attend nursing school at age 17! i must have been out of my mind.it did not end well with Gary, much to my sorrow. I have been here except for a brief move back ...Expand for more
to palmdale and worked at PGH. also north wing which was the drug detox unit. graduated in 1989 with my ADN. worked married my biology teacher, etc etc. divorced after 15 years, remarried, widowed at 49. what's new with yo'all? love to Marianne, rod davidson, diane anderson leela, lori, andy shook, sue stewart, gordon young, gary montrose and many others. I always wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a capital idea. As it turns out, they were right!. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have a lab coat, stethascope, and emergency kit to be able to deal with the day-to-day. my greatest hero is Francis Marion, " The Swamp Fox", hero of the french-canadian and mostly the revolutionary war, the character "the Patriot" was based on. He is my 5th great uncle, something I'm very proud of. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is my mom my husb. stephen, because i will never stop missing them.. If I won $100 million, I'd give 50% of it to animal welfare, then spend the rest on myself, marianne and leela. My best friend would tell you I'm nutty, smart, and generous, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as very shy. My first job was at bone's packing, where I got paid 10 cents/box to pack pears.. What I remember most about it is hotter than hell, tedious, and wacky!!!!!.
