June's Story
Life
After high school, I moved to Sunnymead, CA where I got my AS in Data Processing in 1980. Finding CA too expensive to live, I moved to Gainesville, FL where my family was located. Started my career as a data entry operator and up to computer consultant. Received my Bachelors of Science in 1992 and relocated to Atlanta, GA. After living in FL for many years, I have to move to Atlanta to meet the love of my life while visiting my family in FL for Thanksgiving. We were married in 1996. I was ...Expand for more
diagnosed with an advanced case of breast cancer in 1998. This life-changing event made me re-evaluate my life. We moved to Franklin, NC. Our house was built in the 1880's and we hope to some day turn it into a bed and breakfast after all the restorations. We opened a restaurant, Walden's on Main, in May 2003. My husband has a culinary degree and is the chef. I am still doing computer consulting to finance this venture. We adopted two brothers from Russia in May 2002. Life couldn't be better!
