Life
--1965-1967 OSU, pre-vet med
--1965-1975 odd jobs alternating with extensive bike travel USA, northern Europe (4 days behind the Iron Curtain in East Germany); hitchhike Holland to Turkey, ferry to Israel, volunteer work on kibbutz 4.5 months milking sheep; 9 months interpretive naturalist Yellow Springs Ohio, New Paltz NY; 1967 women's 1000-meter bike track champion, OH; leader and participant on many Columbus AYH bike, canoe, and cave trips (American Youth Hostels).
--1970-1972 married Greg Siple, graduate of CCAD, co-founder of TOSRV in Ohio, moved to Pittsburgh PA, worked as waitress, short-order cook at The Pittsburgh Press, preparations for bicycle expedition.
--1972-1975 first woman to bicycle from Alaska to Argentina: "Hemistour Expedition" (see National Geographic magazine, May 1973)
--1975 settled in Missoula, Montana as co-founder of bicycle touring bicentennial event "Bikecentennial," now "Adventure Cycling Association" (see adventurecycling.org) and co-founded Missoula Bicycle Club.

--1987-1992 birth of son, Zane; stay-at-home Mom
--1992-1997 sold house, moved to more bike/ped friendly neighborhood; back to UM, studies in English dept., converted to journalism, print emphasis; major house remodeling (general contractor, our house)
--1997-2002 graduated University of Montana, BA in Journalism; neighborhood activist five years, website development five years for book publisher (MAC computer), laid off after 9/11 financial impact on publishing
--2002-2007 stay-at-home Mom, general contractor for our house remodeling projects; series of 30+ classes in computer training to convert skills for PC work; standard poodle breeding, agility training; family history research.
