June's Story
Life
Married for 50 yrs to Robert(Bob) Cooper, class of '54. Celebrated our 50th with a cruise to Cozumel. Have 2 children, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grands. Degree in Mgmt. Retired from AT&T. Bob is retired from State of Ga as a Sr. Sys. Programmer. Teachers having most influence on my life - Ms. McLane, Eng & Drama Teacher and Ms. Clark, typing & shorthand - assisted me in obtaining my UT scholarship. Some of my most "fun" times was as a majorette in the band and the plays & skits in drama. Still occasionally participate in our church dramas & directed our live nativity for about 5 yrs. Was cast with our community players in Father of the Bride in 2007. Love the reunions, but wish more of our class would attend. Would love to hear from others. Rule was very special for me & the people extra special. About 15 of us have started a Rule e-mail group which keeps us up-to-date on our goings on. If you are interested, let me know and I can add your name to our group. We've started an online children's clothing business,(juneschildrensclothing.com).

College
After attending University of Tennessee (still...Expand for more
a huge VOL fan) for one year, I got married. Life went on, had children and a JOB. When I began work with AT&T, they paid tuition for anyone wanting to attend school. I saw this as an opportunity to get my degree - that little piece of paper. But believe you me, at the age of 55 and 7 long years of night school after working 8 hours a day, I am mighty proud to have it. I didn't go during the summers and since I worked I was only able to take a course or two at night. Graduated from Clayton State College and University with an Associate of Applied Science with Management and Supervision major. It's pretty neat to have your children and grandchildren at your graduation.
Workplace
I was a Communications Technician with AT&T. Was with them in an administrative position (before the Tech) for 16 years. My very first permanent job was with TVA in Knoxville. My very FIRST JOB was while I was in high school working at a dress shop in downtown Knoxville. I am now retired and loving it; but this has given us time to start our own online children's clothing business. If you're interested, leave your message on the message board. We are excited about this.
