Life I grew up in Bound Brook and attended Lafayette Elementary School from K through 6th. I went to BBHS for 7th-9th grades. In the summer of '66 my family moved to Flemington and I finished high school there at Hunterdon Central H.S. I graduated from Rider College in 1973 and was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. I went on the first jr. year abroad program the school had (to Spain). I was also on the first women's varsity basketball and volleyball teams. From 1992 to 2017 I lived one mile from Rider and took 9 semesters of Italian there starting in 2011.. I got a masters degree in Urban Education at Trenton State College at night (1977-1981) while I was teaching, with certification in ESL. I retired after 34 years teaching in the inner city schools of Trenton. I taught high school Spanish for 9 years and ESL on the elementary level for 25 years. After being home for half a year I took a job at Desmares School in Flemington. They needed a Spanish-speaking ESL teacher. That job was perfect for me so I agreed to substitute from Feb. 08 until the end of the school year. My kids were born in '81, '84 and '89. My husband, Scott, was an administrator with Princeton University. We lived half way between Trenton and Princeton. He retired in 2017, we sold ...Expand for more
