Kara's Story
Life
We moved to North Carolina last year after living in the Chicago
suburbs for 9 years. It is very different living in the South! But we did not miss those Midwest snowstorms! I have a daughter, 5 and a son, 2 1/2.
School
I attended Mason High School, class of 1986.
College
Right after high school, I moved to California and earned a B.S. in Business from CAlif...Expand for more
ornia State University. Years later, after my children were born, I decided to return to college in Illinois to earn
a teaching certificate in elementary education.
Workplace
I worked for 8 years at Ford Motor Company, but decided the automotive/business world was not for me. I returned to school
to become an elementary teacher. I teach third grade in
North Carolina.
