Kara's Story

Life After high school I went right into the Air Force and soon after met my ex-husband, Chris. Our first assignment was to Hawaii. I was pregnant with my first daughter when we decided to move to Maryland next. I spent the next 6 years there. Three years in the AF and three years out (trying to finish up my degree). During that time I adopted my second daughter and had my third. Their names are Lena, Christina, and Olivia - in that order. After three years out of the AF, I decided to go back in and get my commission. I now have 12 years total in the AF and am a Capt. I have spent the last years going from Alabama to Texas (where I spent 10, too long months) and then onto WY and finally CO. My oldest one is in sixth grade and my middle daughter is in third, and my baby is now in second grade. I've been in CO for two years now. pretty much as hot as you would think. 126 degrees in the shade... I had an awsome time (as strange as that sounds), got to work with some great folks and do an awsome job. Traumatic, but awsome anyway. I have recently gone through some personal changes... I recently got a remarried in 2006. His name is Dave and he is also a prior enlisted AF Capt like myself. We met at work shortly after I got back from from Iraq, started dating in the Spring and we were married by August... military always makes everything seem to go faster :D. He has two children of his own, Ashley and Jason who we get to have in the summers. We're always quite the specticle when all of us are together - their combined ages are 12, 11, 10, 9, and 8 - oh and just added one more. Karson David Merideth was born on 5 July for a big birth day with his brother and all his sisters. I'd love to hear from any of you. Kara
