***** Major update 10_14_2015 *****
We love NC. My health is much better this year and I've been doing so much more. Lots planned with family the next 6 months! Rock on Cobras ***update2/17/10*** We're moving to a tiny town in NE North Carolina next week; was my Grandparents' place. Now we can go to Boone whenever we want :) Anyone up that way, get in touch! I'm turning 49 Sat. but refuse to get "old" LOL. We went to several far out Classic Rock concerts last year: Robert Plant, Eric Clapton/Roger Daltrey, Roger Waters - performing 'The Wall', for example. Hey, ya'll take care; back to packing for me.
**update 6/13/10** Yeah, I've lost 35 lbs. of the "quit smoking" weight gain :) 10 more to go!! We just got back from a glorious week in mountains of Boone NC. I've got photos from the last 2 years that I'll post after I get them better organized into folders on my computer. I'd really like to get things going on this site. I like it better than Facebook sometimes because I find it easier to narrow down to just people from our neighborhood. So WRITE me.
** update 3/30/09** Hey folks, I've had a good life so far... working in the clerical field & with computers. I was super shy in 10th grade then there were those party years - LOL. Have a wonderful son, recently Honorably discharged from 4 years in the Marines/2 deployments in Iraq. I've got the best husband in the world!! (3rd times a charm). He was at the 20th reunion with me. I've got a painful disability now so I'm mostly home but it didn't keep me from seeing Robert Plant last summer & Fleetwood Mac in 2 weeks :) . I've had 2 cats I lov...Expand for more

### UPDATE ### We've been living up here (sharing the property I inherited with my brother, Glenn) in NC since 1/25/11 now. We brought my Dad up with us / we'd been caring for his Emphysema in our home- with a little help from V.A. Aides in FL for 6 years. I kept him nice & bundled up but he wouldn't walk around so he caught Pneumonia anyway and passed a week later at home (at his request) after 6 days in the hospital, 4/22/11.
I had a Heart Attack July 3rd - still can't believe it; I'm only 49. But I'm fine and didn't even need a "stint". Then Aug. 19th, John & I were run into a ditch by a huge car-carrier truck and my whole back and neck are still 'killing' me. Since John's still on Unemployment - looking very hard for a good positiion it has taken 3 months to get an appointment with a Specialist. I have Medicare but they had some idea I was going to be rich from suing the driver. The Highway Patrol officer didn't even get his NAME!!!! He lied and said he was just a witness, cute huh? - I was gone in the ambulance and the officer didn't realize John was in shock
I know it all sounds so tragic but we make sure to get out. If anyone remembers me and you're passing through NC on I-95, we'd love company. It was SO HARD to leave my lifelong home, all my friends, and my 26 year old son who's in college back in FL. I just know things will work out; it's a beautiful area in the NE (flat and winding) and the leaves are changing now. We had an incredible garden / hardly had to buy food LOL. Take care, write me.
