Karen's Story
Life
I have been a working jazz vocalist for the past 31 years, and truly enjoying it! (All the years in music and piano paid off -- literally.) Also have been a full-time employee of state government for the past 22 years and am currently a budget, procurement and personnel manager for a state agency. ng the way, and to NEVER, EVER stop counting your blessings.
Since I originally did a bio here, my mother passed in 2006. With both parents now on the other side (Dad passed in 2001), life has felt very strange and I have been off-balance in a way. With no brothers or sisters, my core family unit is gone. I am now seeing life through transformed eyes and a clearer heart. Life is too short for petty attitudes over petty issues. I urge everyone to embrace each other's differences in looks, opinions, religious preferences, fashion and life styles, political affiliations, and cultural backgrounds. We can agree to disagree and still maintain respect and agape love for each other as fellow human beings. We each have our own journey to travel along the individual paths we have chosen. Each of us is special, unique, and worthy of respect. This is my baseline philosophy, which keeps me grounded and objective.
