Karen's Story
Life
I have been married to my husband for 27 years and we have four wonderful boys. After 16 years in Waco, we moved back home to Lubbock to be near our family. Over the years, I have been a stay at home/PTA/Soccer mom, a High School Tennis and Golf coach, and can you believe as loud/talkative as I am.......I was a library media specialist. Yes, a "bun lady" librarian, but not your typical one - HaHa! It actually really lead me to fall in love with the instructional technology side of education. School
In 1985, I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in All-Level Physical Education, Secondary History and Elementary Education from Angelo State University. After being a stay at home Mom for 14 years, I entered Graduate School and received my Masters of Library Science in 2001 from Sam Houston State University. However, I wasn't finished yet, so I continued and completed my Masters in Education in Instructional Technology from Texas Tech University in 2004. I am currently working on a Doctorate of Education in Instructional Technology and Distance Learning. Since I am working full-time, I have to take it slow, but I WILL get there!
