Karen's Story

Life For those of you who remember my mom, Virginia Durfee who used to work at Sams Club at the Food Sampling areas, she is a great women with much Christian Faith. She has been struggling with Lymphoma Cancer and Fibromyalgia for the past 5 years. She puts a big smile on her face everyday and seems to be happy. She remembers so many of you, you'd be surprised. Say some prayers for her to continue to stay strong as she might eventually have to endure Chemo Therapy, as of 2015 her doctor is giving her Chemo Cancer pills and so far it's been helping. Thanks for your prayers and it means a-lot to me. May God Bless you all! What can I say,Temple City was an excellent HighSchool back in the days. I enjoyed the Teachers and the Guidance Counselors. Mr. Fuller went through 3 generations in our family.WOW! Dedication was his priority. My favorite moments I will always remember, was when I got the opportunity to help the Blind and Handicappad kids.It was a very helpfull experience that now relates in my life in regards to helping others.Reputation wasn't even a worry in my mind! Random Answers: I always wanted to be a Waitress when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was an ok idea. To Relax, I usually listen to nice music in my headphones or watch a romance movie or take a nap. I also subscribe to the calm app. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have Food, FRIENDS, WATER, and MUSIC to be able to deal with the day-to-day. I'm starting to like watching Football again. I love America's Got Talent. I love Dogs and i had a...Expand for more
n American Eskimo dog. For the last few years we have had cats because our dogs got too old. We have a Tortie cat and a Russian Blue. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the living room and add on a bedroom. My dream home would be with a big back yard. What i've learned from my kids, To be myself and don't let people get to you.Smile and have fun,who cares what others think. If I won $100 million, I'd give half of it to Autism Research , then spend the rest on my home, kids and myself. To be truly happy,I would be in SolVang, buying a home, with my husband. My best friend would tell you i'm helpful and kind, people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as hyper and annoying. I get one do over and i would speak up and make more friends. In 10 years i hope to be remembered by my classmates. My oldest friend is Jamie.I met her in P.E. class in High School. We clicked because we liked the same music and same foods. My first job was at Mc Donalds, where I got paid $4.25 to work at register and clean tables. What I remember most about it is the managers were tough. A childhood memory i won't forget is when i helped save dogs out of the street by my house. Another childhood memory was when my family went on vacation to Washington and we drove there in a station wagon. We packed up the inside to the fullest and me and my sister had to sit in between pots, pans, fishing equipment, and blankets, etc. When we turned a corner the pots fell on us. It was actually funny and scary. Good Times! Best wishes and peace and happy memories for everyone. Cherish them all.
