Karen's Story
Life
I received my undergraduate degree in education from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, FL. I then taught for three years before going back to school for my masters degree at the University of Texas (Austin), which I completed in 1985. In late 1985, I got married and am still married today to my dh Rex (23 years!). Together we have SIX children, three boys and three girls. They are Logan (22), Kendall (20), Shelby (18), Max (16), Kara (14), and Sam (11). pe to be employed in the fairly near future. My dream career would involve writing a syndicated column and/or desktop publishing. My oldest son graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Duke University in May '09 with a BS in Biology. He was accepted to law school at Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, and UCBerkely, and he has decided on Stanford. After a year off, he will matriculate at Stanford in August '10. And my oldest daughter just finished her sophomore year at Wichita State University!! Shelby graduated high school about one month ago (May '09) and will attend KU in the Fall of '09.
