Karen's Story
Life
First of all I want to say I didn't graduate from Monte Vista, but that would have been the school I attended if I hadn't gone to Whittier Christian.
My Spouse
I was a teller in a bank and he was a customer.
My Pets
Teacup Chihuahua named Chlo an Pitbll named Zeus. (Both gone now 🌈🌉)
My Kids
I have Three! Oldest son Jon is a Service Manager for an international elevator company. He works in Austin, TX and lives in a suburb of Austin. He has 4 children who are 19, 17, and almost 12 year old twin girls. Currently my 19 year old grandson lives with us, but will be going back to TX next month most likely.
My middle son lives near us with his wife and three of his kids…all girls! They are 14, 11, and 5! He also works in the elevator industry as a New Install Manager. He started at the same company as his brother, but now works for a competitor.
My daughter is the baby of the family! She lives a f...Expand for more
ew blocks away and is married with two kids. Her oldest will be 13 in May, a boy, and the younger one is almost 11. My daughter works for Kaiser Permanente as a scheduler for the Wildomar facility. Her husband is a plumber and owns his own business “Credible Plumbing”. We are proud of all of them!
My Job
Currently “retired”! Spent many years in the home furnishings/decor business working in our family business, Lincoln Carpets & Interiors, then Home Depot, KBHome, and back to Home Depot.
I decided to shift gears and went back to school to become a Pharmacy Technician. Got certified for that then had a hard time getting a job because everyone wanted 3 years experience. I put that on the back burner eventually anyway because in April of 2016 I got diagnosed with Ocular Melanoma (eye cancer) which put the brakes on a whole lot of things for me! God is good though, I have had not metastasis after 6 years!
