Karen's Story
I was married from 1977 - 1990 and had two children: Matthew (10/78)and Beth (12/80). Graduated Anna Maria College in 1978, Bach. Music Ed. I was a stay-at-home Mom, then worked part-time at People's Bank, and eventually at O'Shea's Pianos, where I ran the Education end of the business. In '98 I took a position as elementary music teacher k - 6 in the Worcester schools.
I married again in 2005 to Mike Dvareckas. New name: Karen Haynes-Dvareckas. I taught music in the Worcester school system for 12 years. I've been organist and/or choir director in several different churches, too.

I am now "retired" due to some medical issues. I do love living in Rutland, and I enjoy sharing my musical expertise when I can. I am the proud grandmother of four girls and one boy.
I spend my days reading and writing music, reading good books, taking walks and conferring with my cat Timothy. We are a happy little bunch: Timothy, Mike and me. I love crafts and such, and I am getting more tech savvy, enjoying my Kindle Fire for reading and keeping in touch.
I have a much greater respect for our Burncoat education since my years as a teacher. The class of '73 was what is known as a "GOOD class". Yay US!
