Karen's Story
Life
After Hale I went to TU, graduated in 1984 with a major in "Speech". Between then and 1990 I worked at Philbrook, at TJC (teaching Italian), Tulsa Co. 4-H, and the Little Light House. For one of those years I lived in Italy.
In 1990 I married David Buttle, and went to live in England where he is from. I am a stay at home mom and we have 5 children, birth years 1991 - 2002. We also lost an infant daughter in 1997. We home educate all 5 children which is challenging but also enjoyable.
My time in England has had both good times and bad - it has been a hard journey in many ways but I trust that God has had a good reason for the hard parts. We recently became members of a Grace Baptist church and I love it.
I enjoy doing many handicrafts, but particularly knitting, crochet, and doing mixed media art. I like swapping ATCs and small art work, so if you are interested in a swap please let me know.

emails. :) I also love to walk in the British countryside. We live in a small market town in a rural area. It is not quite stereotypical though as it is a "dormitory town" for several scientific establishments in the area. So there is a large number of scientists (and spouses of scientists, as I am) in the area. It is a beautiful area with many things of historical interest. Check out "White Horse of Uffington" if you are interested in learning about an interesting landmark not too far away from where I live.
As a family we sometimes enjoy Geocaching. There are many caches near us although we're waiting for some good weather and spare time to go out again.
I would love to hear from friends (and friendly acquaintances!) from any of my old schools. I'm a bad housekeeper but love to have people over so if you're going to be in the area let me know, come on over, ignore the dust bunnies, move the stray sock I didn't get put away, and take a seat and visit for a while!
