Karen's Story
Life
I guess I have to say that life didn't really get started for me until I was about 30. Before that I guess I was just going through the motions. I got married at 17 and divorced at 19. Then I met a local rock band that I became the manager of. That led me to my second husband (the drummer). We were together for about 9 years. After the band split up, he and I owned a bicycle shop for many years. The marriage and the bike shop had many problems, so they both ended. After that I spent a couple years trying to figure out what I really wanted. I started spending more time with friends and I just wanted to have some fun. e was one particular friend that I spent quite a bit of time with her and her kids. One day her brother came over. we were introduced and a couple years later we were married. We now have a very adorable and funny son who was born in August of 2002 and a beautiful and fiesty little girl who arrived in September of 2004. I take care of the kids (and my mom) during the day, and I work in a children's clothing store stockroom at night (love that discount). Life is now passing way too quickly and it seems that a month goes by in the time it used to take for a day. My kids are growing up way too quickly. I am very happy to be able to spend so much time with them and watch as they discover new things.
