Karen's Story
Life
I just got a wonderful little dog named Pedro. I absolutely love the movie "Napoleon Dynamite," and if you've seen it, you understand why I named him Pedro. He's a little tan chihuahua, though I got him from the pound and he is a bit of a mutt. He's about two years old and I really lucked out because he's already housebroken and everything. It's nice having him around the house as well, since I haven't walked down the plank of marriage yet! Eventually, I am sure I will, but for now I just like being single and hanging out with the cutest doggie ever. :)
Workplace
I work at WLOX-TV (ABC affiliate) in Biloxi, Mississippi. I am the 10 o'clock news producer and I absolutely love it. I really enjoy the writing and the deadline pressure. I am such a procrastinator, if I didn't have a deadline every day, I would never get anything done! Plus, it's nice to actually have a job that uses my college degree.
It's fun living here, at least for now. I have worked about ...Expand for more
a year and a half of a two year contract. We'll see what happens. I may move to Florida in the next few years because I love living at the beach so much.
Biloxi is a small town like Albany, except I never see anyone I know from high school or even college, as many of my friends do who are from here. But, I will have to move for my career for at least a few more years, so I guess I will have to get used to never seeing any of you.
Since many of you may know me as "Little Rick," you may wonder about my big brother Ricky, right? Well, he's just fine and has a great job as well. If anyone remembers the two younger Monroes, Chopper is in Daytona and Michael is in Hawaii. We're all spread across the United States, but thank God for the internet and cell phones, not to mention planes.
So, that's about it. I am in south Mississippi, love my job and am having a great time. Aren't we having a reunion in a few years? :) Everyone take care and send me an email sometime.
