Karen's Story
Life
I live here in Southwestern Illinois just a few miles from the Mississippi River. Looks like I traded the Detroit River in for the Mississippi. I am contently married, have one step-daughter, son-in-law,and two step-grandchildren (Hunter & Leah), and adopted a miniature minscher mix the end of June 2009 (Harley). I work for one of the hospitals in this area as a accounting assistant and have been with the hospital for a total of seven years. I enjoy relaxing after work my crocheting, quilting, working in the yard, or playing with my dog.
On weekends I still occasionally enjoy starting it out with a couple of 7 ounce Miller Lites, to get the edge off of the week. I enjoy starting Sunday mornings with CBS Sunday Morning and listening to Gera...Expand for more
ld Mann a baptist preacher from Austin Texas on the Hallmark Channel, to get my week started off right. During baseball season I have been converted over to being an avid St Louis Cardinal fan. But am still also a loyal Detroit Tigers fan, I have a team in both leagues. I love the color red. I don't believe the will ever change me from being a die hard Red Wings fan, it makes for a good ribbing by all of the Blues fans down here.
I just enjoy the simple life of that the middle midwest provides. But I hope to someday return to Michigan so that I can live closer to my family again. I also miss all of the trees and lakes that Michigan has to offer. Both here and Michigan have wonderful blessings to enjoy.
