Karen's Story
Life
In 1972 moved to Chesapeake VA. Had to graduate from Indian River High School class of 75 with 1235 people I did not know from a hole in the ground.Had always thought that my roots were in Weymouth.Where I had gone from kindergarten to the tenth grade with all ya'll.I know that a lot of you remember the house on the hill by the Herring run on water street. e did graduate from weymouth 1972. Well anyway came to VA graduated went on to achieve an
apprenticeship for welding at a local shipyard . Received a degree in industrial supervision and a journeyman's card for industrial fire marshall where as currently I supervise and maintain the fire prevention and hot work division at Colonna's Shipyard ,Norfolk,VA.
I also was blessed with 2 children and now I am enjoying 2 beautiful gifts from God ,my grandchildren,Gavin and Tori. It was my pleasure to share my life story with ya'll Thankyou Karen King Root.
