Karen's Story
Life
After a 10 year career as a local radio personality, I have "retired" for a second time from the radio business to work fulltime at a fantastic company that builds elearning courses for companies worldwide. I am a graphic artist and voiceover artist. My many years in radio gave me the opportunity to do things and meet people I never could have imagined otherwise, but getting up at 4:00am everyday to do a morning show was getting old fast! Now I work a regular 9 to 5, which gives me more time to spend with family, and ride my motorcycle.
My father (many of you remember Mr. Sisson, guidance couselor at THS) passed away in 2000. Mom still lives in Titusville. My brother...Expand for more
Doug, his wife, and 2 little girls lived in our old house near the baseball fields until he decided to quit managing pro baseball and got a coaching job at The University of Georgia in Athens. The family home has now been sold and is surrounded by subdivisions. Sisson Road has been basically cleaned out of any trees, and has been overrun by houses. Sad!
School
If I could be a professional student, I would. Now that I'm older, I love to learn...There were a few teachers in high school who really influenced me...Carlene Miller, Debi Blanner, George Donovan and Wilda Oakley.
College
