Karen's Story
I am married to Bubba Thompson. I had a crush on him when I was 15 and saw him playing baseball against Meadowbrook. My love for him didn't change EVEN when I found out he went to MANCHESTER. Everyone has their faults. 1988-Formally met him on St. Patricks Day and we haven't been apart since. 1990- We got married. 1992- Had a baby girl named Haley. (She is now 16 and GORGEOUS) She has been playing softball for about nine years. She is in 10th grade and has been the Varsity pitcher for CloverHill High School since 9th grade. 1993-FINALLY graduated from VCU 1994- Had brain surgery (see I told ya'll I had one); Thankfully it was not cancer 1995- Gave birth to a handsome little boy, almost 13 years old, named Hunter (I go through the pain and they BOTH look like their father; NOT FAIR, IS IT?) ng dirt bikes since he was five and started racing when he was about seven. His room is filled with trophies. If it has wheels, he can learn and perfect it. He is extremely talented and a quick learner. So far, he has broken his foot and humerus. Not bad considering the injuries he could have suffered and those other riders have already endured. 2000- Diagnosed with seizures and narcolepsy. Thank goodness I had a legitimate reason for "sleeping" in class. 2003- I watched my father die as I was putting the oxygen tubes back into his nose. This would have been unbearable had it not been for phenomenal and unexplainable circumstances surrounding his death which I can only describe as miraculous. 2000 to present - work as a substitute teacher mainly teaching those with special needs. STILL HAPPILY MARRIED!!
