Karen's Story
After graduating from Southeast MO State in 1975, taught elementary school in Wright City, Mo for 8 years. Took a few years off to work in the private sector and work on graduate degree, getting married for the first time in 1984. Began teaching full time in 1990, just in time to file for divorce in 1991.
Met my 2nd and current husband in 1983, when I was on the City Council in O'Fallon. When both of our marriages ended in 1991, started the long-distance romance, married and moved to Coralville, IA in 1993.
We own a public safety equipment distributorship, one of the main products...Expand for more
being outdoor warning sirens. I helped to design and sold the systems in St. Louis City, St. Charles County, and new system being installed in St. Louis County.
We have been very active in Republican politics in Iowa. Currently, my husband and I serve on the State Steering Committee for Rick Santorum for President.
David has two children from his previous marriage, but we share our lives with Gabriel and Suzanne our two Bichon Frises.
It was wonderful seeing so many people at the reunion. Appreciate all the work that the kids who organized that did. Looking forward to the 45th!
