Karen's Story

OK, I've put myself in two high schools here - Mahopac HS in NY and Trinity HS in TX. I moved from NY to TX in the middle of my junior year in 1980, so I have friends in both places. I've managed to keep in touch with a few folks, I hope I can reconnect with more, and make a few new friends in the process. After graduating in 1981, I went to college for 2 years and then followed in Dad's footsteps and went to work for IBM, which is where I still work (I've not been...Expand for more
there the whole time, though - 17 years total). I didn't meet Mr. Right until I was 29. He was a US Marine named John. We met here in TX and I moved to Washington DC in 1993 to be where he was stationed. We married in 1994 and had 2 children - Jonathan (11) and Jennifer (7). Unfortunately, John died in 2000 a few days after Jennifer's birth, and I've not yet remarried. I am living in TX again, and my parents as well as my brother and his family live nearby.
