OK, here's the real thing:
I got married after college, divorced less than 2 years later. (Best decision, EVAR, that.)
I am an actuary/programmer/analyst, and I hate my job. Love the company, the people are okay, it's just not how I want to be spending my time.
So I have two kids, born in 2006 and 07. BF and I have been together 5 years now, plans to get married when we get 'round to it.
My great scheme for now is to become a preschool teacher, in order to spend more time with the kids (wi...Expand for more
th built-in structure and a small paycheck to cover my truck, insurance and hobbies). When the kids start school, I'm going to trade school to learn how to build cabinets. It'll be like a fourth career or something.
I think *this is where my great life lesson is revealed* where I "went wrong" (whenever I've gone wrong) was when I didn't listen to my Self and just went ahead with what I thought other people (whoever they were) thought I should do. Trusting my inner voice has been a hard habit to remember, but it's totally my favorite one.
