Kari's Story
Life
Hi Everyone!
So much has happened in the 12 years since I graduated a year early with the class of 1996! I graduated a year early to care for my sick mother, who as most of you know, sadly died 2 months prior to graduation. I lived with a friend for 9 months in Irmo while I finished school. In November 1996, I moved to Walhalla, SC to live with my dad. In August 1997, I moved to beautiful Waynesville, NC with my ex-boyfriend John Quarles. We split up in June 1999. I stayed in NC.
August 30th, 1999 is the day I met my fabulous husband, Treye Kennedy. I had called one night to order pizza. I thought he sounded "cute." I went to meet him. He was cute. Got his number. We went on our first date the next week, and as they say, "the rest is history." We were engaged in April 2000 and married October 27th, 2000.
We just celebated our 7th anniversary, and are happier than the day we met! We have two beautiful boys. Caleb Reed Kennedy was born November 3rd, 2003. He has reddish blonde hair and green eyes. He is ALL boy...100 miles an hour and afraid of...Expand for more
nothing! He is extremely loveable and has such a personality! Camden Taylor Kennedy was born Feburary 25th, 2005. He has white blonde hair and huge blue eyes. He is also ALL boy. He likes to cuddle and adores Caleb. He wants to do everything Caleb does. Hence, he crawled at 4 months and walked at 8 months just to keep up. They are the loves of our lives!
We moved September 2005 to just outside of Hickory, NC in Claremont, NC. Treye and I are both Registered Nurses at Catawba Valley Medical Center. I work in the Special Care Nursery, and Treye works in Critical Care (ICU).
I am currently working on my BSN at UNC-Greensboro. I graduate May 2008. I am planning on entering a MSN program in Fall of 2008. I am hoping to be a Family Nurse Practitioner.
As for the future, we hope to have one more baby (hopefully a girl), stay in this area until the kids graduate, and then retire back in the mountains of NC (truely heaven on earth).
I hope your lives have been as beautiful and blessed as mine has been! E-mail me anytime. I would love to hear your story!
