Karl's Story
Many people, myself included, would be nonplussed by the way my life progressed over the last fifty years. When after two years in university I discovered that was not my path to follow, I entered the electronics field briefly, specializing in security systems. In the early 1970s I decided to pursue a career in aviation, and earned a Maintenance Engineer's License. /11 hit, I was forced into new venues. That's where it got really interesting. I was involved in designing, building and testing experimental "lighter than air" manned airship flight and environmental control systems. Our team demonstrated our innovative products all over North America, to both civilian and military markets. I would tell some stories, but I am still under oath not to reveal certain topics.
Right. Who would have guessed? Not even me.
