Karoline's Story
Life
I left Indiana after graduating from Ball State in 1985. I married and moved to Arizona where I completed my MBA at Arizona State Univ. and began working for Intel Corporation. I moved to California in 1988 and had a daughter in 1990. I moved to New Mexico in 1991 and have lived there ever since. I divorced in 1996 and re-married in 2001. I have worked for Intel Corporation since 1988 years and am now a Business Analyst and Project Manager. I have a 16 year old daughter and step-son. Both are driving and in the marching band. My daughter also plays piano and has a horse that she rides in jumper events. My husband and I built a new house last year on 3 acres in Rio Rancho where we really enjoy the wide open spaces! In my limited free-time I am learning to play the piano and am taking English riding lessons. My husband I also really enjoy playing tennis, hiking and travel. I only get back to Indiana about once per year, but it will always be "home". I have great memories of classmates and teachers at Jeff.
College
I loved going to school at Ball State and my education there has served me well. I work for Intel Corp and many of our employees come from big-name schools, including Purdue, but I have done quite well with my degree from lesser-known Ball State. I made great friends there and had a lot of fun while getting a ...Expand for more
good eduation. After graduating from Ball State, I started my MBA at the Univ. of Tennesse in Knoxville. I was there for a year but then I decided to get married and my husband and I moved to Arizona. I finished my MBA at Arizona State University in Tempe. Arizona was a great change after the cold, damp winters of Indiana! I was a grad assistant and worked with a lot of great professors. Attending ASU eventually lead to a summer internship with Intel where I researched various topics for the International Logistics Group. I was offered a full-time job during my last semester at ASU (it was the longest semester of my life because I worked full time during the day and took a full-load of classes as night!) Overall, the college years were good - they were fun, challenging, I made lots of friends and have wonderful memories.
Workplace
I have worked for Intel Corp for almost 19 years, since graduating with my MBA from Arizona State Univ. I've had a variety of postions, starting in the Transportation and Logistics field. Most recently, I became a business analyst and project manager for the FSM (Fab Sort Mfg) Stratetic Systems and Technology group. I manage or contribute to a variety of improvement projects that are primarily focused on new product management and time to market for all of Intel's manufacturing facilities worldwide.
