Kathie's Story
Life
I have been a nurse since 1983. I am an LPN & I work for Family Health Services in their home health division here in Las Vegas, it's different than floor nursing, but alot better and most of the time fun. I joined the Army Reserves in 1976 and I recently retired as a Sergeant First Class. I am still married to Bill Wilcox, who also graduated in the class of 1972, we have 1 son. I like to write, collect teapots, cross stitch, travel, get in touch with old friends, write stories & research our family tree. I hope old friends who read this will contact me, would love to hear from anyone who went to LVHS when I did!
I always wanted to be a wife when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a bad idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have CD's, a radio, and patience to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
I really love anything Lord of the Rings, Euro-Soccer and dream of meeting a famous star someday.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the downstairs and upstairs-make them larger and add...Expand for more
on a better porch and pool. My dream home would be someplace quieter and perhaps in Scotland.
If I won $100 million, I'd give 1/4 of it to military families, then spend the rest on family , Bill and myself.
My current age is 55. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old. I was so completely wrong.
Cross stitch and spending time with Bill and the family.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Mrs. Barbara Green, because she was very inspirational as a teacher in jr. high..
Still love my jeans, t-shirts and sandles!
My first job was at El Portel theater, where I got paid can't remember to be an usherette. What I remember most about it is sneaking popcorn and watching all the movies for free!.
The assasination of JFK and Robert Kennedy.
I remember when Vegas was safe to be in. I walked everywhere and nobody bothered anybody. I remember walking downtown and looking at all the people have fun in the casinos while gambling and vacationing. I do not care for that now, but I remember the good old days in Vegas!
