Kathleen's Story
Life
My husband of 42 years, Garret, and I are retired and living in Florida just 5 miles from Daytona Beach for the past ten years. Previously we lived in Maryland for 25 years where I was a Realtor with RE/MAX and my husband was and still is a Financial Planner who sold his business in Maryland but still works part time in Florida. Our two beautiful daughters and their families (5 wonderful grandchildren) are in MD and DE. I have a stepson and he & his family are in Georgia. We do lots of traveling abroad and in the US. We love going on cruises. We see a great deal of our children and grandchildren. We do a lot of entertaining and have a great deal of visitors especially since we live in Florida and are only one hour from Disney. We look forward to hearing from classmates. Workplace
Prior to retiring ten years ago, I spent 25 years selling Real Estate most recently with RE/MAX including spending several years on the Realtors Board of Directors and one year as President of the local Board of Realtors in MD. Additionally, I managed a RE/MAX Real Estate Office for three years. I also spent a great deal of time doing a lot of Volunteer Work. Even though my husband and I are supposed to be retired in FL, I spend a great deal of my spare time when we are not on the go be his administrative assistant. And I still dable in Real Estate with investment properties which currently are not the most wonderful thing! I thoroughly enjoy retirement or I should say semi-retirement & work at not letting my physical problems hold me back.
